The Specialist and Doctoral Programs in school psychology at UC offer extensive training and fieldwork, preparing highly professional psychologists to make significant contributions in child and family advocacy, and leadership in up-to-date research methods and practices. Both Programs are approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and are accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) - the first School Psychology Program accredited by ABAI.

The Specialist-level (EdS) Program includes 2 years of full-time study followed by a 10-month full-time, supervised internship in a school setting. Students complete a master’s degree in the course of this 3-year Program.

The PhD in school psychology is based on a comprehensive 5-year program of study, including 3 full years of coursework and integrative field experiences, a 10 month full-time internship consistent with APA doctoral internship requirements, and research and dissertation requirements. The School Psychology Program also offers a Graduate Certificate in Behavior Analysis and an MEd online for individuals interested in credentialing as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Click here for more information on these programs.
